Rules & Regulations
Attendance
Attending classes and learning in the class through learned faculties is a critical step of growth and development of students, as the skills required by the Industry are taught in a systematic and progressive manner for which consistency in attendance is a pre-requirement. Absence from class leads to discontinuity in learning and defeats the very approach of progressive learning, as the subjects are inter-connected and missing one session may lead to confusion when the next session is being conducted.
Consequently, it is not only difficult but also puts those students under tremendous pressure and helplessness leading to a stress, frustration and depression. We have come across quite a few cases of such students becoming psychiatric cases because of the pressure on them. Therefore, attending classes regularly is a requirement of any student who joins a good management institution. Similarly, studying at home/hostel everyday regularly can only lead to expected growth and development of students.
1.
Students are therefore expected to regularly attend all the classes and other training commitments. The minimum attendance required from students to be eligible to appear in the examinations and to be considered for campus placements is 80% as we cannot field insufficiently qualified students before the companies for campus placements. Those who fail to maintain 80% attendance will be detained in the first year only and will not be promoted to second year. However, they can repeat the first year by paying 50% of the prescribed fee. The 20% of attendance at the disposal of the students is considered very adequate to cater for ordinary medical contingencies and definitely cater for adequate number of days for any kind of absence. What is to be clearly understood is that we are offering professional courses and absence beyond a certain period will result in their not receiving the required training. Therefore our focus on training and not on the attendance. Those Students who don’t  miss any lecture and save on attendance can relax.
2.
Those students who maintain 95% of attendance will be eligible for the following considerations:-
An attendance incentive of 5 marks per paper.
Some companies want to see only few students and not all for selection process for want of time or other reasons. Wherever students are thus required to be short listed for companies in short numbers for campus placements, i.e. 20-30 students or a little more only are to be fielded for a particular company, students with 95% attendance will get preference over others as we consider them better equipped and more focused to studies. However, if these students are not performing well academically, and if the companies prescribe marks as the key factor, the marks will also be given adequate weightage.
SUBMISSION OF DEGREE CERTIFICATES
All the students should submit their qualifying degrees and mark-sheets to the office for verification by first week of December, 2007. The admission of those who fail to submit their degrees and mark-sheets showing that they have cleared the qualifying examination before 1st July, 2007 will be cancelled. They will not be entitled to refund of the fee.
CONTINUOUS PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Students will be required to start their preparations for corporate careers from the day they join the Institute. They will be evaluated for their academic performance on a day-to-day basis internally by each faculty and in each subject. The criteria for the award of marks will be based on:
1.
Attendance, attention and participation in classes
2.
Creativity and in-depth efforts as demonstrated during the preparation and presentation of assignments.
3.
Academic initiatives and catalytic role in facilitating productive stimulations during lectures, presentations and feedback sessions.
4.
Focus on studies, research and pragmatic decision making which shall be seen in the above requirements.

Class discipline, loyalty and initiative in checking misbehavior, if any, on the part of other students.
