Gemba means workplace or "real place" (where the action happens) and in
Japanese, kai means
‘change’
and zen means ‘good’.
It is a process of
incremental change
for improving one’s
work culture. Gemba-Kaizen trains the mind to be observant and find simple solutions. It also trains the individual to develop "Can Do" attitude. It inculcates a problem solving approach and respect for people doing the job on a daily basis.
Over a period of time it trains one to evolve intelligent ways of solving problems and developing simple systems. It helps the mind to get rid of wasteful things. It helps in generating the true spirit of work. |
